Part II:
The gathering was attended by invited guests and citizens curious in elections to the European Parliament. The gathering was moderated and discussed by Sławomir Matczak. The expert who discussed with the candidates was Róża Rzeplinska.
The gathering was very interesting, and the hall filled to the last place with an audience. The candidates presented somewhat different positions on many issues, but the fundamental differences between the programs of the parties they represented were not. What is undoubtedly very upbuilding is participation in proceeding another very young (26 years) candidate who speaks wisely, presents his views and intentions in a clear and convincing way.
Public hearings are intended to make it easier for citizens to choose the best representatives and best representatives in the EP. Questions with list prepared the members of the Social Election Committee who participated in the hearing. too the questions on the list, net users who watched the broadcast besides had a chance to rise interesting topics.
The questions afraid the form of the European Union and its priorities for the future, GMO food, climate change, cybercrime, Russia, energy, refugees. The subject substance was wide, the answers of both candidates did not always coincide, a discussion with the audience and an interesting expert. The summary of the discussion with the candidates by Mr Rzeplinska was concluded with praise for the thought of public hearings and encouragement to proceed the project, which we, the organizers, are very pleased with.
This was another hearing, during which we had the interest and large pleasance of listening to wise people, with large knowledge, Euro-enthusiasm and the imagination of a common Europe. The choice is getting harder... Fortunately, Mr Mateusz Dobrowolski competes in territory 5 - so far it is the only candidate heard from the territory of Mazowiecki.
Public hearings organised and conducted by the Social Election Committees are aimed at learning the views, cognition and position of the candidate/candidacy in matters that are crucial to us in the European Parliament. We are asking candidates questions about the EU system, civilian rights, social policy, security, digital networks, climate, migration, abroad policy, education, economics, culture, as well as planned activities in the Euro-Parliament. We have prepared questions in cooperation with NGOs: Association 61, SEDNO Association and Nationals of Poland.
The proceeding held on 9 May was already the 5th of a series of hearings with candidates and candidates for Europarliamentary and Europarliamentary candidates. After all and after discussions with the members of the SKW with the participation of experts, we will decide to urge selected candidates as the best ones, in our opinion.
Another proceeding of Warsaw candidates will take place on Sunday 12 May.
