Rafał Szymczak and Paweł Kasprzak spoke about the benefits, principles and organization of open primary before the autumn local elections.
The gathering was 1 of many that Polish citizens organize in the country as part of the cycle "Democracy from now on".
– We are talking about holding open primaries, which are those in which all democratic voters can vote. These will not be primaries inside the organization only those in which political parties as well as civil, urban, various another local government committees can compete – explained Rafał Szymczak. – We do not presume that the primaries will take place throughout Poland, although we would have dreamed of it. They will be where the primary committees will want to be," he added.
