The procession with the relics of St. Melchior Grodziecki joined Polish and Czech Cieszyn on 6 September.

In the home town of a 17th-century martyr faithful on both sides The Olzy prayed together, bearing witness to the religion for which the patron of the celebration gave his life. The central point of the celebration was the Eucharist in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Cieszyn, presided over by Bishop Martin David of the Ostrawsko-Opawy diocese. The homily was given by Bishop Roman Pindel of Bielsko-Żywiec. He pointed to the Gospel way of responding to evil: not by judgement and public condemnation, but by brotherly admonition, which is to lead to reconciliation and human recovery for the community.
