"The thin red line". Russian threats and Western reasoning change

Russia scares the West not from now on. It threatens to escalate the conflict and designates "red lines". With time and crossing, however, it would seem "uncrossable borders" but the question arises whether they truly mean something and truly change NATO's policy towards Ukraine's assistance?
