Chinese abroad Minister Wang Yi confirmed China's commitment to peace and dialogue, during a gathering with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrij Sybiha, held at the margin of the Munich safety Conference, in German Munich.
Wang Yi, besides a associate of the Political Office of the Central Committee of the Communist organization of China, stressed the long-term relationship and strategical partnership between China and Ukraine, established in 2011. He noted that despite hard global circumstances, China remains Ukraine's largest trading partner, demonstrating the lasting possible for cooperation between both nations and calling for a fair and lasting peace agreement on Ukraine.
Emphasising that China views Ukraine as both a friend and a partner, Wang Yi expressed China's willingness to cooperate with Ukraine to overcome the challenges and further make bilateral ties. He besides expressed the hope that Ukraine would proceed to supply safety for Chinese institutions and citizens surviving and operating in Ukraine.
Addressing the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, Wang Yi reiterated China's firm stance on promoting peace and dialogue. He stressed the principles set out by China's president Xi Jinping, who, he said, proved objective, impartial and pragmatic in leading a process towards conflict resolution.
Sybiha for his part confirmed strong bilateral ties and friendly relations between the peoples of Ukraine and China. He stressed Ukraine's adherence to the rule of 1 China and its readiness to strengthen the exchange and deepening of its strategical partnership with China. Sybiha besides assured that Ukraine would proceed to defend Chinese institutions and citizens in Ukraine.
