The Chinese robot Unitree G1, known as Edward Warchocki, appeared on 11 August in the port of the Polish Navy in promotion of the parade for 15 August. After criticism, the recording was removed and Deputy Minister of defence Cezary Tomczyk admitted on August 12 that individual lacked caution. Military procedures are at stake, not an online joke.

A robot in a war port

The Navy of the Republic of Poland allowed the humanoid work Unitree G1 to enter the port as Edward Warchocki. According to WP, the recording was to advance a parade of warships for the Polish Army Day, scheduled for 15 August. After a wave of criticism, the movie disappeared from the naval profile.

The case is not an net joker. The warport is not an advertising plan, and equipment with cameras, sensors, lidars and communications should not enter military territory due to the fact that the communications department wants coverage. MON has already shown that procedural gaps can hit citizens' confidence. The scale here may be smaller, but the logic of the problem is the same: the state must act before the crisis, not after the storm on the net.

Tomb: Be careful

Deputy Minister of Defence Cezary Tomczyk said in an interview with the Republic, as quoted by RMF24, that he did not think that something very bad would happen in this case. However, he added that caution was clearly lacking. That's an crucial conviction due to the fact that it falls from the department's management, not from an anonymous X-platform user's comment.

RMF24 reportsThat Tomczyk saw in this alternatively PR action and building the image of the army. but in the PR army, he can't be above counterintelligence hygiene. If a civilian company, influencer or promotional action organizer brings equipment with external software and sensors to the warport, individual has to ask a simple question: who checked the device and on what basis was it allowed in?

Chinese cars, right, Chinese robot?

The context is the most striking. In February 2026, the Chief of the General Staff of the General Staff of General General Wiesław Kukuła decided to ban the entry of motor vehicles produced in China into protected military facilities. Armed Poland wrote that it was about data recorded by systems of specified vehiclesThat could have intelligence value.

Is a humanoid robot little problematic than a car? You can't put this on honestly. Onet, citing PAP and experts, indicates that Unitree G1 can collect information from the environment and that a decently equipped device can transmit data through a Wi-Fi network or its own modem. These are method facts, not political hysteria.

There's another element. The US Department of defence placed Hangzhou Yushu Technology, or Unitree, on the list of Chinese military companies. This is not a Polish ban on vending machines, but it is simply a informing that the state does not seriously ignore. Especially the NATO border state, conducting intensive logistics and training activities.

Technology requires discipline

The Polish army is to usage modern technologies. He needs to make robotics, drones, artificial intelligence and designation systems. The Polish Army is increasingly entering into artificial intelligence solutionsBut that's why he needs iron rules for allowing equipment to be protected. Modernity without discipline becomes an invitation to penetration.

This isn't about fear of all Chinese device or inexpensive anti-Chinese show. It's about simple realism. China is simply a technological power, leading its own global policy, and the West has been limiting the access of selected Chinese companies to delicate infrastructure for years. Poland has no luxury of carelessness.

Warport is not a social media studio

The softest explanation speaks of a stupid communication failure. Even then, the conclusion is tough: in the military, individual confused the scope with safety. That's adequate to draw the procedural consequences, due to the fact that the enemy doesn't request large success. All you request is simply a small gate open from habit.

Rulers like to talk about the resilience of the state. The opposition starts at specified places: at the gate of the unit, with the approval of the recording, erstwhile asked by the safety officer, with the refusal for an awesome gadget. Naval Port is not a scene for an online performance. This is part of Polish security.
