According to “World Robotics 2024”, the latest study of the global Federation of Robotics (IFR), 70% of all recently implemented robots in 2023 were installed in Asia, 17% in Europe and 10% in both Americas.

China is by far the largest robot marketplace in the planet – analysts from the global Federation of Robotics claim. In 2023, 276 288 industrial robots were installed in the Central State, representing 51% of all installations worldwide. This is the second highest score in past (in 2022: 290 144 robots).

The share of Chinese manufacturers of industrial robots in the home marketplace increased to 47% in 2023, while for the last decade it oscillated around 28%. At the end of 2023, about 1.8 million robots were installed in Chinese factories, making China the first and only country in the planet with so many of these machines.

According to the report's authors, the Chinese marketplace will have advanced growth possible for many years. This is due to the observed request for robots in the Chinese industry. The most crucial driver of this marketplace is the deficiency of people willing to work in factories, but besides a change in the quality and efficiency of plants that have departed from simple products, to those highly advanced, with advanced added value.

The request for industrial robots in China by 2027 should increase at a rate of 5-10% year to year. Across Asia, the yearly average should be around 4%.

The global Robotics Federation points to fresh areas of manufacture development, especially transport robots (which do not include autonomous cars) and humanoid robots. The second will most likely produce the largest robotic market, due to the multiplicity and versatility of their possible applications. At the same time, the study warns that regulations and safety regulations do not keep up with the improvement of a fresh kind of machinery.
