Wankla's engine was expected to be a dead end of automotive history. besides fuel-eating, besides hard to seal, besides "exotic" for modern emanation standards. Meanwhile, China is just bringing it back to life – not in the sports coupe, but as the heart of drones, eVTOL and electrical cars with an extender range. And they do it faster than Europe knew.
