Zhang is president and founder of ByteDance (chin. 字节跳动), a company which includes, among others, the DouYin app (chin. 抖音), known in the West as TikTok (this is simply a limited version of the Chinese application). Zhang obtained a advanced position and valuation despite a US-issued conviction on the TikTok app, a judgement according to which the application is to be resold to an American entity, or will be legally blocked in the US.
The 5th on the list of Chinese billionaires is this year Ding Lei (chin. 丁磊), 53, with a property worth USD 29 billion (about PLN 114.24 billion). It is the president and founder of Netease (chin. 网易), a company dealing with media, online services, and above all online games that bring her the top income.
The average age of Chinese billionaires is 60 years. That's six years little than the global average. In China, there are the most billionaires who alone have come to a luck that did not inherit property from their family. Here besides are the most women of billions who have come to large money on their own.
Most billionaires in the mediate State live in Beijing, then Shanghai, ShenZhen, HongKong, Taipei, HangZhou and GuangZhou.
And all this in a country with a socialist marketplace economy with Chinese characteristics.
