CNPP Ranking Enterprise investigation Center (chin. CNPP排名企业研究中心) in collaboration with CN10 Ranking Data investigation Department (chin. CN10排名数据研究部) published the ranking of the 100 largest private companies in China. The study was prepared based on data from 2022-2023.

The conclusions of this study include the following information:

To be on the list, the company had to accomplish a minimum RMB 88.5 billion (approx. PLN 48.82 billion) revenue. To be in the top ten, you had to cross the threshold. 422 billion RMB, or about PLN 232,8 billion yearly income.

The first 3 largest private companies are:

  • JiDong (chin. 京东),
  • Alibaba (chin. 阿里巴巴) and
  • HuaWei (chin. 华为),

The same for years.

These 3 companies are in the top 3 all year, only changing their “places on the box”. As far as the industries active are concerned, the top 10 are dominated by fresh technologies, net and industrial production.

Nearly a 3rd of the companies ranked improved their position compared to the erstwhile year. Their revenues have increased, especially those operating in the field of fresh technologies and green energy.

Quotations of production companies fell. It's the consequence of real property degradation. Industrial companies on the list of the 100 largest Chinese companies account for around 60% of the full ranking.

At the highest recorded on CNPP/CN10, private companies come from the provinces of Zhejiang, GuangDong, JiangSu and Beijing. These are China's most developed regions, the engines of economical improvement and the places where large agglomerations are located. Most private companies are toured in the ChangJiang/Jangcy River Delta, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area and the Pearl River Delta.

82% of private companies on the CNPP/CN10 list are linked to the capital market. 38 of China's 100 largest private companies are listed companies and 57 companies on the list are bond issuers.
