A garbage revolution in Hong Kong

For a serious violation of regulations (distortion of protected areas, seas, etc.) offenders are in danger of being arrested for up to 6 months. In the event of persistent violation, the financial punishment will be 50 1000 HKD (approx. PLN 25 thousand) with an additional six-month detention penalty.

The waste disposal fee will be calculated in 2 categories. Residents will account for the volume of garbage bags (bags from 3 to 100 m3 , at a rate of 0,11 HKD (approx. PLN 0,06) per m3.

In the case of commercial and production facilities, the rate will be calculated by weight.

The mediocre families will receive monthly support from the government for waste disposal fees of 10 HKD (approx. PLN 5).

At the first phase of implementing this order, the Hong Kong government plans to distribute free garbage bags to all housing units in the city.

162 billion shipments

In 2023, Chinese post delivered more than 162 billion shipments to recipients. According to the State Post Office (chin. 国家邮政局), this means an increase of 16.5% from year to year (r/r). Among these shipments, 132 billion were express shipments. This in turn means an increase of 19.5% y/y.

Energy retention 2023

Cai Jin Qing manager XiaoMi

Crime statistics
