Within a fewer days the Border defender at Kraków-Balice Airport intervened 3 times. A drunk passenger tried to get into the pilot's cabin, another before flying to Dubai told about the bomb in his luggage. Each of these incidents is simply a real threat where the margin of mistake does not exist.
Three interventions in a fewer days
Kraków-Balice Airport has a series of tense situations. In just a fewer days, the Border defender had to respond 3 times to passengers who had created a problem on board or during inspections. All the cases ended with police intervention.
Although circumstances were different, the common denominator remains the same. It's a disregard for the rules in a place where the margin of mistake practically doesn't exist.
Drunk passenger and effort to enter the cockpit
The most serious case active a man returning from Bulgaria. He was under the influence of alcohol, he did not respond to the crew's orders, and at any point he tried to get into the pilot's cabin. After landing on board, an intervention group entered.
The traveler remained aggressive, so officers utilized handcuffs and called in a police patrol. "The survey showed that the passenger was under the influence of alcohol. In the end, he was transported to the sobering chamber," said spokesperson Joanna Nogal-Gromal. They'll decide on the punishment measurement after he's sober.
Bomb gag before flight to Dubai
The second intervention took place on safety checks. A passenger going to Dubai stated that he was carrying knives and a bomb in his luggage. The X-rays and manual check of the suitcase did not uncover anything like that.
Explaining that it was just a gag didn't impress the officers. A man got a ticket. In the 3rd case, on board a flight from Switzerland, the traveller ignored the crew's instructions and acted vulgarly. After landing, he surrendered to the Border defender and was besides punished.
Consequences can be severe
The Border defender reminds us that the list of possible sanctions is wide. In addition to the mandate, there is simply a danger of being removed from the deck, a flight ban imposed by the carrier and, in more severe situations, criminal liability.
There is no area in aviation for "innocent" explosive charges jokes or for alcohol bravado on board during flight. all incidental like this puts the crew at hazard and exposes the another passengers. That is why the consequence of the service can be ruthless.
