The exhibition of the current Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will take place on 11 December. The majority of the parliament has already announced that it will not support a vote of assurance for the Government of Law and Justice. As a result, the Prime Minister will be elected as part of the alleged second constitutional stage. The coalition candidate is PO leader Donald Tusk. Double vote
The second planned modification aims to remove the de facto double vote of assurance vote for the Donald Tusk government. According to the Rules of Procedure, the Sejm first elects the Prime Minister in a rotation call vote, then the Prime Minister presents an exposure and then in the next vote the Sejm elects the Prime Minister and the proposed composition of the Council of Ministers.
It is unclear why the Sejm elects the Prime Minister twice. Therefore, most likely during the second vote, the Sejm will only now approve the proposed composition of the government.
Donald Tusk again
Donald Tusk was already Prime Minister from 2007 to 2014, but now besides has the chance to re-take this post. The Democratic opposition appointed him as its candidate for Prime Minister. Let us remind you that the new-old Prime Minister must convince 231 Members who will give him a vote of confidence.
