Spanish anti-terrorist services have identified among migrants who have entered Ceuta, at least 10 people previously convicted and expelled to Morocco on jihadism issues. The study shows the price of the failure of control over the border: with the mass movement of people, there is simply a gap that can be exploited by those who are dangerous to safety.
Alarming findings of the Spanish services
Spanish anti-terrorist services have identified at least 10 people previously detained, convicted and subsequently expelled to Morocco in connection with jihadism cases. The information was provided by the French press review portal Fdesouche, citing the Spanish paper “El Español”. This is about people among the tens of thousands of migrants who entered Ceuta last week.
According to this account, the whereabouts of the persons afraid have not yet been established. They may be in a group of about 5,000 people whose services have inactive not been located. This discrimination is crucial: designation of their identity and erstwhile criminality is to be confirmed, while the current place of residence remains the subject of service activities.
Mass migration weakens safety control
Ceuta is simply a Spanish enclave located on the north coast of Africa and at the same time the external border of the European Union. erstwhile tens of thousands of people exceed it in a short time, the state loses the ability to rapidly and accurately verify each person. It is in this sphere that risks arise, which politicians who underestimate border protection can no longer ignore.
Collective work must not be attributed to all migrants. It is, however, slow and clear that the uncontrolled mass influx makes it hard to separate people seeking a better life from those previously convicted in terrorism cases. Human dignity hates the right of the state to check who crosses its borders. Protecting citizens is the first work of power.
The boundary must be real, not symbolic
The Ceuta case exposes the weakness of European migration policy. Regular border traffic procedures neglect at the minute of mass pressure. If there are thousands of unlocalised people who are previously expelled for their relation with jihadism, the problem is not a humanitarian slogan or statistical abstraction. It is simply a circumstantial threat requiring identification, detention and effective enforcement of the state's decision.
For Poland the proposal is direct. A tight line, efficient services and the anticipation of refusing entry by dangerous persons are not prejudices. They are the foundation of sovereignty. Warsaw cannot accept solutions that carry the consequences of errors of confederate European countries to Polish cities and Polish taxpayers.
Security of citizens from ideological comfort
Europe needs a policy that combines respect for human dignity with tough border control. Without verification of identity, exchange of data between services and actual enforcement of expulsion decisions, the state leaves citizens without appropriate protection. Ceuta recalls that erstwhile an expelled individual can return if the border is brought to formality.
Freedom from hazard imported by individual else's recklessness, household safety and the right of the state to decide who it allows into its territory is at stake for Poles. Unordered humanity rapidly becomes helpless. The liable authority first regains control and then helps in a way that does not endanger its own people.
