W Ukraine launched a large-scale global aid task — the Belgian Reconstruction Assistance Initiative of Ukraine (BE-Relieve Ukraine). It is implemented by the Belgian Government through the Enabel improvement Agency.
Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial improvement Kostyantyn Kowalczuk explained that not only method assistance is behind the project, but besides a partnership between Ukraine and Belgium in the field of reconstruction.

The Belgian initiative will last until the end of 2028. During this time Ukraine will receive 150 million euro (644 million PLN). The task involves the Chernihov and Kiev circuits, as well as the city of Kiev.
The task shall cover the following activities:
- Energy infrastructure modernisation: implementation of decentralised heating and electricity supply systems, transfer of mobile boiler rooms and generators,
- health care and social protection: reconstruction of medical facilities, rehabilitation programs, integration services,
- education and employment: refurbishment of school and university infrastructure, organisation of forums to increase the interaction between business and education,
- Supporting European integration: facilitating the implementation of reforms and strengthening links with Belgian partners.
