The Bundeswehra, "they'll burn" the money to upgrade? German economist warns

Moritz Schularick, president of the Kyon Institute of planet Economy, criticised the way funds were spent on the modernisation of the Bundeswehr in an interview with “Süddeutsche Zeitung”. In his opinion, a programme worth around EUR 700 billion can "evaporate" if Berlin continues to channel most of the funds for outdated weapons systems alternatively of future technologies.
