Bulgaria will adopt the single currency on 1 January. It is simply a large success of Prime Minister Rosen Żelakow, who, however, will not have much time to celebrate due to the fact that his government has just fallen under force from social protests. Bulgarians in the fresh year are most likely waiting for parliamentary elections, already eighth since 2021.
