The defence budget is falling slightly. “The worst is yet to come”

The Council of Ministers adopted a draft budget bill for 2027. The combined spending on defence is expected to amount to PLN 198.1 billion, or 4.51% of GDP. That's a small little than planned for 2026. At the same time, the government announces the evidence value of supplies of military equipment for the Armed Forces of Poland. "But the most hard can come after 2030, erstwhile the funds from SAFE run out, there will be more professional soldiers in service, and fiscal flexibility will be even lower than now," says Jakub Palowski deputy editor-in-chief Defence24.pl
