Bronisław Komorowski in mourning. His parent died

At the age of 103, Jadwiga Komorowska, parent of erstwhile president Bronisław Komorowski, informed the household in a published obituary.


Jadwiga Komorowska was born on 2 December 1921 in Grudziądz. In the first years of her life, she lived in Buda Ruska in Suwałczyz. During planet War II, she was a liaison of the National Army in Vilnius.

After the war, Komorowska began sociological studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, which she completed. In 1963, she defended her doctorate on the impact of tv on the lives of children and young people. In the following years she taught in Canada and Algeria. Her technological work resulted in many studies and publications. In parallel with her technological work, she was an active opposition activist in the times of the Polish People's Republic. In the 1980s, she was a associate of "Solidarity", actively supporting the relationship's activities.

For years, she was active in cultural activities, including organizing concerts and being a associate of the choir. In fresh years Jadwiga Komorowska was a guest of the home of Artists of Polish Veterans in Skolimów.

The ceremony of Jadwiga Komorowska will take place on 24 March in Stary Powązki in Warsaw. The Mass will be celebrated at the church of St. Charles Boromeus at 14.
