The Brazilian army presently uses respective types of drawn artillery 105 and 155 mm, which are solutions having respective decades of service on its neck. We are talking about American production of M101/102 (about 230 pieces) and M114 (about 80 pieces), Italian OTO Melara Mod 56 (about 60 pieces) and British L118 (40 pieces). The last mentioned plan is the most modern of this combination, but it is besides over 30 years old. It was so essential (even with the amendment to the "long-term" arms in the countries of South America) to begin a search for successors for at least parts of these structures.
