Polish volleyball players placed at the lowest podium level in the League of Nations tournament and won a bronze medal. White-red defeated Japan in Łódź (25:15, 24:26, 25:16, 25:23).
The president of the Polish Volleyball Union Sebastian Świderski did not hide the satisfaction of specified a result: “The girls showed that they could be counted on for the 3rd time in a row, and this time in front of the Polish audience they gave much joy to our fans”, he commented.
The head of the Polish federation pointed out that Polish volleyball players won despite their erstwhile failure to the Italians in the match for promotion to the final: “The crucial thing is that the girls rapidly rose after this defeat. They were motivated adequate to go out on the field and play a very good gathering (...)".
