"No abroad language should be the basis of school education and education, but national. As a scholarship holder, Cegielski was obliged to send Flottwel, at times, scholarly dissertations in German or Latin related to the survey program. Significantly, 1 of the German works sent was written in 1837 by a dissertation about Jan Kochanowski, our pre-selection poet, as a lyric poet and his attitude towards the 16th century. The fame of Hippolyt Cegielski as a educator-polonist was established by his most crucial book – discipline of poesy published for the first time in 1845, an excellent choice of Polish poesy with national, historical and folklore themes. It was a textbook of modern literature about invaluable educational values.

Hipolit Cegielski took advice from his friends for a seven-week internship with the iron company Jakub Raven in Berlin, after which, with the financial support of Maciej Mielżyński and the guardian from the student days of Jakub Suchorzewski from Tarnów and the friendly Wielkopolska, he founded a tiny iron store on the Poznań Basar and a repair workshop for agricultural tools.
