The Silesian Border defender Branch conducted extended checks on the legality of abroad employment. The results are alarming – out of almost 400 people checked, more than half worked illegally. Employers must face advanced penalties, and any foreigners have received orders to leave Poland.
Checks uncover mass infringements of labour law
In fresh months the number of checks on the legality of abroad employment has increased importantly in Silesia. Border defender officers have checked nearly 400 people, and more than 200 cases have found serious irregularities.
One of the most spectacular interventions took place in Bytom, where 133 foreigners were checked. Most of them came from Uzbekistan (74 people). It turned out that as many as 95 people worked in violation of regulations. The employer was fined 1600 zł.
Colombians detained in Ruda Śląska – they are threatened with deportation
In Ruda Silesian Border defender stopped 6 citizens of Colombiawho worked without the required permits. As a result:
- three people received an order to leave Poland within 30 days,
- placed on them ban on entry into the Schengen area for 1 year,
- to two persons criminal proceedings for illegal border crossing have been initiated,
- case one person is inactive being explained.
14 April In the same city, another 1 was revealed 44 cases Illegal employment. The employer admitted to the charges and agreed to fine of PLN 13 500. The case goes to Mikołów territory Court.
Gliwicki entrepreneur punished for hiring foreigners without permission
Another incidental afraid the owner of a catering facility in Gliwice, which employed a citizen of Uzbekistan and Ukraine without the required documents. The man agreed to penalty PLN 2000And he'll take care of it. court in Gliwice.
Multi-monthly control in Sosnowiec – over 100 violations
Officers from SG facilities in Sosnowiec have completed a fewer months' control which has taken place 186 foreigners. W 103 cases irregularities have been identified. The employment agency that employed them mostly utilized citizens Colombia, the Philippines and Indonesia. Further investigations are ongoing for the employer.

The Silesian state has become an area of increased activity of the Border Guard. Checks revealed system problems in the legality of abroad employment. Employers must face advanced penalties and illegal workers must be deported and banned from entering the Schengen area.
