W Almost and Justice were again wrapped around the name of the future Prime Minister candidate. Unofficial reports say Przemysław Czarnka would replace Zbigniew Bogucki, the head of the President's Chancellery. The organization definitely denies it. So why are the persistent questions about who will lead the camp to the next election?
Unofficial script from Channel Zero
The spark ignited reports by Robert Mazurek of Channel Zero. According to the writer Law and Justice would replace its candidate as Prime Minister, and the place of Przemysław Czarnka would be taken by Zbigniew Bogucki, the current head of the Chancellery of the president of the Republic. In this version of events, Jarosław Kaczyński himself was to talk about the change, and president Karol Nawrocki was to agree to donate his close associate.
The script sounded impressive, due to the fact that it clinched the 3 most crucial centers of the camp: organization management, Presidential Palace and the facilities of the future government. If it did, it would mean a silent review of a decision a fewer months ago.
Novogrodzka's hard feelings
The reaction of the organization office was fast and unambiguous. PiS spokesperson Rafał Bochenek assured that the candidate for Prime Minister is prof. Przemysław Czarnek, if the group wins the election. The speculations about roshad were briefly reprinted: "The script by Mr. Spinned is not considered at all".
The dementi was joined by the interested. Bogucki made it clear that he was, is, and will stay the head of the presidential law firm, and that his friend Czarnek is the candidate for Prime Minister. It is worth reminding that the erstwhile Minister of Education was anointed for this function in March, during the PiS Convention in Krakow, at the hands of Kaczyński himself.
Fighting for a position in the camp
The problem is that even the strongest denials do not extinguish questions, but fuel them. Since the names of the successors are circulating and the media besides mention the Euro MP Tobias Bocheński, it means that there is simply a silent calculation in the camp, who best leads the right to another power struggle.
It is simply a natural mechanics in any large batch, but in the case of PiS it has an additional weight. The group after the failure of government seeks a return formula, and the candidate for Prime Minister is simply a delicate component in this arrangement. Each wave signal is read as a crack in the ranks.
The context here is not obvious. Following Karol Nawrocki's triumph in last year's presidential election, the right wing regained the highest office in the state, but not the government. It is the Prime Minister's candidate that remains the missing link of a full return to power, and so each name weighs twice in this context. No wonder that even the unconfirmed roshy rumor immediately becomes the number 1 theme.
Unity as a Condition for Return
For right-wing voters, the most crucial thing remains: whether the camp will go to a compact election or scratched with interior games. The past of Polish politics has frequently shown that parties lose not so much to their opponent as to their own ambitions. The question remains whether the Law and Justice will learn from this before speculation becomes a real leadership dispute.
