Attorney General's press secretary Anna Adamiak informed on Tuesday that so far the ultimate Court has handed over to the lawyer General 318 electoral protests related to this year's presidential election. In 203 of them the position was already taken.
Among them was the protest by associate of the Roman Giertych Citizens' Coalition, who questioned the validity of the elections, pointing to 5 irregularities. In 2 cases, the lawyer General found the charges unfounded, but the another three, according to Adam Bodnar, require detailed examination by the ultimate Court.
Adam Bodnar wants to review 3 counts
The first plea concerns the possible misalignment of the number of votes cast per individual candidate in selected regional electoral commissions. Bodnar pointed out that the assessment of the merits of this allegation required an examination of the electoral cards.
The aim would be to find the actual results of the vote and the scale and nature of any irregularities. The proposal concerns committees located in Otwock, Oleśnie, Tychy, Grudziądz, Gdańsk, Krakow and Biszczy.
The second plea concerns a noticeable increase in the number of votes invalid in the second circular of elections, in peculiar due to the 2 "X" marks on the cards. Minister Bodnar believes that an expert in sociology is needed to measure whether this increase was statistically disproportionate and what its causes were.
The communication besides stated that on Tuesday, the prosecutor from the Department of Judicial Procedure of the National Prosecutor's Office participated in a ultimate Court meeting, during which the ballots were examined from 3 committees. In all cases, irregularities were detected.
In Staszów and Magnuszew there was a vote exchange, the votes cast on Karol Nawrocki were attributed to Rafał Trzaskowski. In Mysiadla, the situation was reversed and the votes cast on Trzaskowski were attributed to Nawrock.
Prosecutors have initiated proceedings
In view of the irregularities revealed, The territory Attorneys in Katowice, Bielsko-Biała, Opole, Jelenia Góra, Włocławek and Krakow initiated investigations.
