Adam Bodnar, Minister of Justice and lawyer General, interviewed Business Insider Polska. He explained why the full improvement of the judiciary had not been carried out so far, and he besides said what was next with the KRS, and he talked about the continuation of the settlements of the PiS politicians.
"I work as much as I can"
– I could feel guilty if I were lazy, if I hadn't done my occupation properly, if I had ignored my duties, if I hadn't utilized my legal cognition in specified a way as to do as much as possible all the tasks that were set before me. However, from 13 December 2023 until present I utilized all day, virtually – said the minister.
When asked why the Constitutional Court and the National Judicial Council could not be repaired, he replied that "unfortunately the president did not let them to enter into force." He explained that he had already figured out how to deal with the KRS. In the spring of 2026, the word of office of the current 15 judges of the KRS expires. Until then, the minister will not announce fresh competitions for judges.
He added that the judiciary is improving, that judicial proceedings take a long time, but that they can be accelerated and better organised.
