Mariusz Błaszczak: "It's Tusk's revenge"

Former head of MON, presently head of the PiS club, referred to the case on social media.

"It's not an indictment, and Donald Tusk's revenge against me has been brought to court. This is the price I pay for revealing plans of the first PO-PSL government to give almost half of Poland without a fight. If I had faced this dilemma again, I would without hesitation have declassified papers showing Tusk's actual intentions," wrote PiS MP.

He added: "So I realize my mission as a politician - to service people and especially the people of east Poland had the right to know what destiny the PO-PSL government is preparing for them. Thank you for your support!".

Donald Tusk responds to Mr PiS

The head of government decided to respond to Błaszczak's entry. "Mr. Błaszczak claims that the indictment against him is 'revenge of Tusk'," the Prime Minister began, pointing out that "it is not true."

"To be honest, I forgot you existed. I am focused on serious matters," wrote Donald Tusk.

Let us remind you that the D.A.'s office issued an announcement on Friday afternoon on the erstwhile head of the MON. As Prosecutor Alicja Szelągowska said: "Mr Mariusz Błaszczak revealed fragments of plans for the defence of the Republic of Poland, which he interpreted in specified a way that the political power of the time did not want to defend Poland from the very beginning, only after taking east Poland on the Vistula line.

She added that MP PiS "has caused highly serious harm to the Republic of Poland".

It's a strategical defence plan called Worth. His fragments were previously described as top secret" and 'secret'. At the time, the head of the MON decided to declassified them, which, according to the D.A., had serious consequences and put public interest at risk.

The indictment besides mentions current head of BBN Sławomir Cenckiewicz, chair of KRRiT Agnieszka Glapiak and Piotr Z., erstwhile manager of the MON's strategy and planning department. Blaszczak is facing imprisonment from 1 to 10 years. The case will be examined by the territory Court in Warsaw.
