Kwiatkowski's words, which became the basis of the lawsuit, fell in the context of Masiak's acquaintance with Karol Nawrocki, a candidate of the Law and Justice for President. Masiak accused Senator KO of violating his individual possessions, demanded an apology and PLN 50,000 to make amends and filed a motion to safe the lawsuit. In January, the territory Court of Łódź dismissed the application for the defence and on Tuesday dismissed the lawsuit. In May 2024, Masiak took a image of himself with Nawrocki at the National Education Office of IPN and published them on social media.
