Last Saturday, runners for the eighth time stood at the start of the 10 km way of the Modlin Defenders' Run, which runs through the historical areas of the longest military building in Europe.
For 9 years in the Fortress of the Modlin, the athletics meets with local past to honor the memory of the characters of the defence of the Modlin during the September run in 1939. In addition to the main run, there were besides charity runs for the youngest, of which all income will be donated to support the treatment of Santa, struggling for wellness after a stroke of the brain. The extraordinary emotions and spirit of sports competition became the participation of over 350 players, and in designation each of them received a commemorative medal at the finish line.
The beautiful thought of the event, organized by the Association of Distracting fresh Court and Active for Mazovia, makes it integrates the community and involves many institutions and partners. The host, which on that day lends the area under the cross-country town, is the Museum of the September run and the Fortress of Modlin, and visitors to it, can see many interesting exhibits from, among others, the period of planet War II. During the event in the position of the Border Guard, 1 could besides learn the specificity of the work related to the protection of Polish borders and see specialized equipment. Runners could usage free massages and learn how to avoid the dangers of addiction. After the effort, there was a bonfire with sausages, hot soup and a small sweetness.
The Modlin defenders ran under the honorary patronage of the Minister of National Defence, Marshal of Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Starosta Nowodworski County, Mayor of Nowy Dwór Mazowieckie and president of the Mazowieckie Regional Tourist Organisation.
