The ladybug introduced an innovative recycling strategy in its stores, recyclomatas were installed that let customers to give empty packages in exchange for peculiar buying vouchers. This solution benefits both the environment and customers.

In the current test phase, recyclomats accept PET bottles with a capacity of up to 3 litres and aluminium cans with a capacity of up to 1 litre. The first device appeared in Skórzew, but it is planned to extend the program to further locations of the Ladybug stores.

In order to benefit from the recyclomate, respective conditions for returned packages request to be met. They must have a clear description of the maker with a barcode, be packages of products available in the Ladybug, stay mechanically intact and not contaminated.

When receiving peculiar buying vouchers for returning packages, customers have the chance to usage them for subsequent purchases in online stores. This programme will surely encourage many to deal with waste consciously and advance recycling. At the same time, the extension of investigating to further locations suggests an interest in this innovative approach to environmental care.

Of course, packaging should besides be full emptied. Devices do not accept bottles of glass, after dairy products or oil.

Recycloma Ladybug – how much money for a bottle?

Customers who usage the recyclomat will receive peculiar vouchers, each with a value of 5 cents for each delivered packaging. Interestingly, these vouchers can only be utilized in a circumstantial store where they were released.

The voucher value limit is set at PLN 50, which means that a client can return up to 1000 cans or bottles to the recyclomate once. The action is planned from 23 November last year to 31 March 2024.

A small earlier, Ladybug had organized a collection of plastic bottles in which customers received acquisition vouchers. A 1-PLN coupon was awarded for each of the six empty packages. The event attracted customers from various cities specified as Warsaw, Kraków, Lodz and Grodzisk Mazowiecki. This initiative has shown that there is simply a large interest in specified programmes and people are keen to participate actively in green actions.

Return bottles in Lidl

For more than a year, Lidl's chain of shops allows customers to hand over plastic bottles in selected facilities. The machines that have been installed there grant 5 cents discount for each returned PET bottle with a capacity of 0.3 to 3 litres.

These devices accept bottles of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, juices and water, provided they are intact and completely emptied. However, aluminium cans, milk or yogurt containers, glass bottles and milk bottles are not included.

Lidl explains that despite giving more bottles, the client will receive only 1 discount coupon. The maximum quantity of bottles that can be returned erstwhile to the vending device in exchange for 1 discount coupon shall not exceed the number of bottles entitled to receive a coupon worth PLN 70.

The introduction of this programme by Lidel represents a step towards expanding environmental awareness and encouraging customers to recycle. These initiatives can have a affirmative impact on the environment while promoting liable methods of packaging disposal.
