Chronicle of Poles

Maciej from Miechów, a celebrated chronicler of the 16th century, was translated into Polish after 500 years of his death, thanks to the efforts of the White Raven publishing house. This crucial work, formerly known primarily to historians, is now available to the wider audience. Miechowita describes the past of Poland, reaching from the ancients to the times of Zygmunt Stary, emphasizing patriotism, Christian religion and the brave character of Poles. The book, richly illustrated by 47 first woodcuts from 1521, is not only an instructive lesson in history, but besides a evidence to Renaissance editing. It is simply a legacy which now falls into the hands of modern Poles.

It will be 3 days full of interesting events – from Thursday to Saturday – so that everyone can participate, regardless of whether he is simply a student, he lives in Lublin or nearby.
