On the eve of the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in Polsat News premiered a unique study by Piotr Michalak. The production shows the past of extraordinary cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian journalists in broadcasting Freedom from the Polsat tv studio. After the start of the war in Ukraine, the thought was born that Freedom tv would proceed broadcasting beyond the borders of the country's conflict. Thanks to the support of the Polsat Television, which made available the studio, manager and full method infrastructure, Ukrainian journalists could proceed their information mission.

– When the war entered our lives, the Ministry of Culture and the Ukrainian media decided to make a alleged tv marathon that would mobilise citizens to this fresh situation of war. It is simply a joint task of a program broadcast in Russian so that Russian-speaking audiences in various countries can learn what the fact about war is –recalls Anton Nikitin, editor-in-chief of the ‘Inter’ channel and studio manager.

Thanks to fast actions, within 3 days of the beginning of the project, the studio at Ostrobramska Street in Warsaw was successfully launched. “The level of support that Polish colleagues have given us has never met in my life,” says judaic Bondarenko, manager of “Media Group Ukraine”.
A fewer 100 days of solidarity
– We worked 2 days and 2 nights all the time. For us it was pride and honor that we could aid our Ukrainian brothers – says Andrzej Szymanski, manager of Polsat tv Technology Division. For 690 days Freedom channel broadcast in Russian to over 60 countries worldwide. Now, after the end of the collaboration, Freedom tv crew returned to Kiev.
