Russian mercenaries from Wagner's group, serving in African countries, can shortly be transferred to Belarus. It is informed by the Russian Telegram channel “WPzK-OGPU”, citing its sources.
According to the channel, in the Central African Republic and Mali mercenaries were “dilute” by forces specifically formed in the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation unit “African Corps”. Before fresh Year's, Wagner's group recruited mercenaries even without experience, and since January 2025 only those who had already signed them.
Recently, Wagner has been headed by a erstwhile GRU peculiar Forces officer Dmitry Podolskiej named Salem, who holds the authoritative position of advisor to the president of the Central African Republic. Speaking in the Russian home in Bangui (the capital of the country) on 1 May on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of Wagner's group's establishment, he called for the honoring of the orders of the group's founders, Evgeny Prigozyn and Dmitri Utkin, who were allegedly blown up at Vladimir Putin's command after an effort to rebel in 2023.
The final withdrawal of the group's quota from Africa is planned for June-July.
“It has been promised that mercenaries will be stationed in Belarus, but so far there is no confirmation for that”, notes “WPZC-OGPU”.
It should be recalled that any Wagnerians are inactive in Belarus, even though they have officially remainedwithdrawnIn the summertime of 2023. It is said that at the training center close Witebsk they are preparing African Kremlin allies for the drone war.
