US bases in Poland: how to accomplish success?

The expansion of permanent U.S. military bases in Poland is not a sign of a crisis of alliance relations, but a thoughtful consequence from NATO to a fresh geostrategic reality. Leaving behind the Cold War schemes, Americans are betting on smaller and more dispersed objects, tailored to their global needs. The final location of the fresh infrastructure depends not on political declarations, but on hard criteria: logistics, improvement opportunities, the facilities for families and protection from the threat from Russia. The cooperation between Warsaw and Washington creates a modern and resilient Alliance safety architecture on the east flank.
