The leader of the Bavarian Chadetia wants to give Ukrainian refugees an ultimatum: "to take up work in Germany or to return to safe areas of western Ukraine," said Alexander Dobrindt.
Several home ministers of the German national states have late called for the cessation of the payment of civilian benefit to Ukrainian refugees and the granting of only lower benefits to asylum seekers. The DW service recalls that this request was rejected by the Olaf Scholz government.
