The Janów police intervened in the shocking case of an intoxicated mother's neglect of children. A 2-month-old baby and a 6-year-old boy were left unattended. The Ukrainian female at 37 was above the promilium of alcohol in her blood.
Yesterday afternoon, Janów's on-call station received a study that at 1 of the addresses in Janów Lubelskie there was a female who was under the influence of alcohol. A patrol was sent to the scene immediately.
Unattended children, bottles of alcohol in a wheelchair
Officers found a baby cart in the yard where a 2-month-old baby slept. There was a 6-year-old boy next door. The children were left alone, without adult supervision. The police besides found 2 bottles of alcohol in the wheelchair.
A 37-year-old citizen of Ukraine, parent of children, left her home soon. Uniforms smelled a strong odor of alcohol from her, although the female denied being drunk. However, a breathalyze survey showed more than a promil in her body.
The police officer fed the baby, the children went to the hospital
An ambulance was called to the scene. By the time the ambulance arrived, custody of the children was taken over by an on-site police officer who fed the baby milk from a bottle. The small ones were then transported to a infirmary in Janów Lubelski.
A 37-year-old female was detained. The case will be handled by the household Court and the Minors. According to Article 160 Criminal Code, for exposing a kid to failure of wellness or life, the punishment for 5 years imprisonment.
