B. Ratter: spiritual and historical importance for Poland and Europe
date:23 May 2026 Editor: Editorial
In 1920 Warsaw, threatened by the Bolsheviks, did not leave the dean of the diplomatic corps – Apostolic nuncio Achille Ratti, later Pius XI . He was 1 of 2 - alongside the Turkish ambassador - people on a diplomatic mission who remained in our capital.

He telegraphly asked Pope Benedict XV for approval to stay in Warsaw, even if it was occupied by Bolsheviks to defend the local clergy and the population. He informed Eustache Sapieha, then minister of abroad affairs, that he would stay in the capital until there was even 1 typical of the authorities.
We Polish taxpayers fund another Polish-Ukrainian Historical Congress, the second scandal is to carry its false communicative beyond the congress, even to the Catholic writing, available in all church and store.
In the last Sunday Guest Dr. Alexander Alfiorow, head of Ukrainian IPN said:
"In the summertime of 1920 only 1 typical of a abroad state, Ukrainian People's Republic, remained in Warsaw".
Is it not a worrying deficiency of correction of the deputy editor of the Catholic letter conducting the conversation, agreeing to falsify the past of the church in Poland ?
The Polish IPN knows this: “After his mission to Poland, Achille Ratti returned to the Vatican, he took with him a copy of the Jasna Góra painting, which he placed in the chapel of the palace in Castel Gandolfo. Being already Pope (since 6 February 1922), he invited the Polish artist Jan Henry Rosen to the Vatican and commissioned him to execute frescoes in a summertime residence chapel.
The aim was that the events presented should have peculiar spiritual and historical importance for Poland and all Europe. The defence of Częstochowa and the Warsaw conflict were so taken into account. At the second fresco entitled “The Miracle on the Vistula”, the central figure is Fr Ignacy Skorupka, whom Ratii greatly admired” (IPN halt history). It wasn't at Symon Petlura's fresco.
Poland, grateful to the nuncio for this attitude, later awarded him the Order of the White Eagle. He received it just before the conclave, from which he came out as Pius XI (later called the “Polish Pope”).
Is it lawful to present this Order to the enemies of Poland?
In the article not only falsifying the past of the Republic of Poland, is relativizing the crimes of Ukrainian genocide. Was it deliberate to post a sentence:
"The studies of the Ukrainian Catholic University, which were late published, show that the killings of Ukrainians from cultural background began already in 1939" – the victims were Ukrainians and not Poles?
It was the extermination of Poles long before the Second War in order to take over the territory of the Polish Republic after the cleansing of the “foreigners” and the creation of a self-serving Ukraine. It began on 1 September 1939 by killing soldiers of the Polish Army returning from the war front. Stanisław Srokowski points out that the first large crime committed in Poles by Ukrainian nationalists was an attack on the village of Sławentyn. The massacre took place on 17 September 1939, immediately after the USSR's aggression against Poland.
“We say that on the Ukrainian side there were attacks by UPA troops, but there were besides peasant robberies on neighbors,” says the head of the Ukrainian IPN. And these were robberies of Ukrainian peasants, alleged Ukrainian blacks on neighbours - Polish peasants.
The message of the head of the Ukrainian IPN is full of euphemisms of the kind "difficult issue" , "ethnic murders", "ethnic conflict" "conflicts requiring reconciliation", "ordering" , "overwork of history" - known from erstwhile congresses , which have been dozens since the end of the Second War, besides preached from the Sejm tribunal by the Ukrainian number and the Ukrainian Union in Poland with the leading Peter Tym.
Humanity is NOT a CONFLICT, it is the taking of life, it is simply a crime to regret, to apologize and to promise improvement, to make amends, not to put up monuments to criminals! Especially since it was planned, a cruel crime committed in demonic madness, due to the fact that how else can you justify chopping off the hands and feet of children, sticking them in like pots on a scuffet, ripping off the skin, cutting and chopping?
The question of editor Andrzej Grażewski asked the head of the Ukrainian IPN is scandalous: can Polish and Ukrainian historians come to a common knowing of the facts?
Doctor, the FACTS have not stopped, they are!!!
It was besides very crucial for the head of the Ukrainian IPN to tell readers that we are “two large nations” who “have been together for a 1000 years.”
We request to condemn the crimes of Ukrainian genocide from 1939 to 1947, exhumation of victims and burial of victims of crime, which is simply a fact independent of “looking at our relations since the 10th century”. We no longer gotta look for the victims of Chmielnicki, Żeleźniak, Gonta. Ours, which one?
Poland has been a historical state for 1060 years, while rusini/Ukrainians began to form their nationality in the late 19th century. UKRAINA has been a country since 1991.
"To get out of the complex "a nation that appeared unexpectedly" - writes Andrew Wilson - Ukrainian historians regardless of their political orientation began to make a very circumstantial past of their country and nation".
Oh, my God.
