Austria buys training and combat aircraft

Vienna plans to buy a squadron of 12 aircraft in the M-346FA (Fighter Attack) combat variant. These aircraft are capable of utilizing short-range air-to-air missiles, as well as a rich set of air-to-ground weapons including bombs and tankers with air cannons, as well as precision. The Masters are to enter Vogler Base and replace Saab 105 school aircraft withdrawn in 2020 in service.
