Australia: Wheel support for rocket artillery

On January 8, 2025 at the Bendigo facility, defence manufacture minister Pat Conroy announced the conclusion of a $100 million Australian contract (about €60 million) between the Department of defence and Thales Australia for the acquisition of an additional 44 Bushmaster vehicles (PMV).
Bushmaster has been produced in Bendigo for the past 20 years, and the fresh contract will keep both jobs in the mill itself and in the national supply chain.
It is worth noting that Thales employs over 4,300 people in Australia in 35 plants and supports over 2,000 jobs throughout the Australian supply chain.
