The Rector pointed out that AszWoj inherits the traditions of many universities, including the Polish War School in Scotland, the General Staff Academy of the Polish Academy of General Staff and the National Defence Academy. He added that "ASzWoj plays a unique function in this process" as a university that prepares safety experts and "not only transmits cognition but co-creates a culture of strategical thinking".
During his speech, Rector AszWoj besides referred to the statements of Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamish about the safety pillars of the Polish Republic, which are: strong army, strong alliances and strong state. The War Art Academy presently educates 3,700 students in 19 directions.
