Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Hativist groups have besides engaged in the war, which thus support Putin's troops. According to Mandiant's giant cybersecurity, any of them only operate under the cover of “hatactivism” and in fact are linked to the Russian-sponsored GRU military intelligence group APT28.
