Artillery Queen of Polish SAFE

Although for many people it may be a large surprise, the main character of orders from the SAFE program are not, changed in fresh years by all cases, drones or anti-aircraft systems. In my opinion, erstwhile examining the list of contracts signed by the Agency for the Armourment of Contracts, which will be financed from this programme, it is clear that the artillery became the queen of the Polish SAFE.

Even on the laiku, the list of military weapons and equipment contracted in fresh days that will be purchased with money from the EU's SAFE debt mechanics must be impressive. These are 62 contracts covering a full of over 120 billion PLN.

What are we buying? The answer to specified a question is not easy. However, the nearest fact will be the message that this is military equipment and equipment not for individual divisions, but for full units – brigades and regiments, and in the case of elements of individual equipment – for full tactical unions specified as divisions.

If I had to identify 1 kind of military that would benefit most from SAFE contracts, the answer would be very short – artillery. This already shows the amount of funds allocated to buying for specified troops. These contracts for equipment, weapons and ammunition for artillery troops are worth around PLN 50 billion.

RECLAMA

More than symbolic is the fact that the most costly contract concluded with SAFE is simply a contract worth PLN 19 billion for a 1000 accompanying vehicles for multi-guided divisions Homar-K rocket launchers (meaning Korean Chunmoo). In addition, the first 7 most costly SAFE contracts included multi-billion-dollar artillery contracts: Krab cannon for PLN 8 billion, wagons accompanying the squadrons of these weapons – PLN 7.6 billion, Mortar Cancer – PLN 4 billion and for logistics vehicles intended for them – PLN 2.6 billion. The list is closed. Ammunition contracts For a twelve billion dollars.

Of course, I am aware that fans of air defence or naval will say, "Holy, holly, SAFE is not just artillery, it is besides San anti-aircraft and anti-drone for PLN 15 billion (refinanced from SAFE), Narew for 6 billion PLN, drone Gladius for PLN 9.3 billion, billions of PLN Rosomacs and Baobabs whether ships from the ‘Hydrograph’ programme for about PLN 1.5 billion.

And they're absolutely right. Collected with the money from the SAFE debt mechanism, weapons and military equipment will actually go to all types of troops, although comparatively to the smallest degree to aviation (at least for now).

So why did I indicate artillery as the main beneficiary of the Polish SAFE programme? due to the fact that the purchases we make for the soldiers of the god of war now, as artillerymen like to talk about themselves, and which include outside fire systems primarily essential logistics for them, are actually catching up a decade ago.

At the time erstwhile the first Krabys, and a fewer years later K9 and Lobsters, were definitely short of logistics, support and command wagons, as well as all the instrumentation that gives the battlefield the decisive advantage of triumph or defeat. I'm truly glad we're yet making up for it, and comprehensively, the shortcomings in the Crab Squadrons, the Cancers, or the lobsters.

And finally, 1 point. I would besides like the SAFE list to include a contract for more equipment, but 2030 is an impossible limit to which we gotta finalise (to produce and deliver to the military) all contracted arms units. Let us besides remember that we inactive have a second “international” tour of contacts with SAFE, in which equipment from Polish companies will be purchased.
