Greece's land troops are many and possessing quite a few modern, mostly western equipment, mainly German and American production. It is practically not based on products of native manufacture or method thought, although the Greeks keep autonomous service capacity in many categories of equipment. The advantage of the Greek army is the number and advanced quality of training of soldiers, but it is clear that the equipment utilized is based on equipment purchased in better years for the Greek economy and now only tiny purchases are made without a large imagination of their modernisation.
