Andrzej Duda was shocked. Hits Tusk and publishes the SKW document

Former president Andrzej Duda made public a paper dated October 17, 2011, indicating Prime Minister Donald Tusk's consent to the Military Counterintelligence Service's cooperation with abroad peculiar services, including the Russian national safety Service (FSB).

The letter was a formal application by the then head of the SKW Brig-Gen. Janusz Nosk, addressed to the president of the Council of Ministers under the provisions of the Military Counterintelligence Service Act:

"I kindly ask the Prime Minister to agree to cooperate with the peculiar services of Algeria, Ukraine, Georgia, the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China".

The chief of formation justified the request to carry out tasks falling within the statutory military competence of the counterintelligence. A handwritten note was written saying, “Consent. Donald Tusk”.

Historical circumstances and comments of the erstwhile President

The publication of archive correspondence coincided with Andrzej Duda's attention to the geopolitical context and earlier global and national events. The erstwhile president referred to the fact that the decision was taken after the Russian Federation's armed assault on Georgia in August 2008 and after the Polish government plane Tu-154M crash in Smolensk on April 10, 2010:
