A celebration at the Royal Castle. "End of the Democratic Process"
- I'm sorry. Today’s celebration is not only formal, but besides profoundly symbolic. The presentation of a resolution to state the results of the election of the president of the Republic of Poland is the culmination of a democratic process in which citizens, in accordance with the letter of the Constitution, expressed their will, in an act of free and universal elections," said president of the State Election Commission, Sylwester Marciniak.
During his speech Marciniak besides referred to doubts about the correct number of votes.
- I'm sorry. There is no way to draw attention to the statements of any politicians who question the integrity of the electoral process. In this respect, mention should be made to the PKW communication of 9 June, in which we stated that within 14 days the PKW would prepare a report, including by analysing information provided by territory electoral commissions. At the same time, it recalled that any voter could bring a protest against the President's election to the SN if irregularities were found.
- I'm sorry. It is worth to quote the message of a study of more than 100 people from 30 countries of the mission to observe the presidential elections in Poland, that the election administration at all levels has efficiently and professionally performed its opinions related to the holding of elections - emphasised the head of PKW.
