Americans already know: Poland is increasing into a military power in Europe. And they have a proposition for us

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine of 2022, Poland made a large-scale effort to modernise the military and improve its combat capabilities. As to the request for changes, all parties to the political dispute agree, and the scale of Warsaw's plans is unprecedented after 1989. If these plans are implemented, then Poland will become a pillar of safety not only over the Vistula River, but throughout the region, and this will mean a much greater function in NATO. This is simply a very affirmative improvement for the U.S., and Washington should support Polish armaments – according to a late published influential study in the US think tank RAND.
