According to the journal, the thought of restricting alcohol trade returns. Work on the amendment of the Act started last October. However, he did not agree to extremist changes. Now the proposal for a bill is to be discussed again after examining the comments made during the public consultation.

"Rzeczpospolita" has determined that a full ban on the sale of alcohol at petrol stations is being considered. "As we hear unofficially, the decision to enter a regulation to change has not yet been made in the government, but the wellness department is seriously considering specified a scenario" - writes "Rz"

The diary points out that "the draft version for further consultation should be created within 2 weeks". The press office of the Ministry of wellness submitted "Rzeczpospolita" that "as part of the public consultation, interministerial arrangements and the opinion of the bill (...), many comments were received on the various issues proposed in the task as well as the proposal to extend its scope. A crucial number of comments referred to the extension of the task to introduce a complete ban on beer advertising and its non-alcoholic counterparts. However, it did not formally mention to the issue of banning the sale of alcohol with percentages on fuel stations" - we read.

The constitutionalist at the University of Warsaw Prof. Ryszard Piotrowski says "Rzeczpospolita" that "a complete ban on petrol stations could be considered a regulation on freedom to conduct business".

According to the journal, according to COPIHN data for the first 4th of 2024, the sale of alcoholic beverages at fuel stations is only 2.2 percent of the volume and 2.6 percent of the full value of selling alcoholic beverages.(PAP)
