Lithuania proposed to Poland a joint investigation after uncovering the remains of the facility, which on Sunday 18 October triggered an air alarm. NATO fighters were picked up and the airport in Kaunas temporarily closed. According to the Lithuanian Minister of Defence, it was most likely a drone that came from Poland. However, the Polish MON reported that radar systems did not confirm the crossing of the border with Lithuania.
