On December 5, 3 machines were damaged in attacks of Ukrainian drones on Russian strategical bomber bases, including 2 Tu-95 aircraft. 2 days later, satellite images of the air base in the Murmanian Oblast, about 30 km from the border with Norway showed that there were 11 Russian strategical bombers stationed there. The machines were so tested by over 2.5 1000 km north. The Scandinavians see it as an component of pressure, but the main reason is most likely the Kremlin's fear of losing more bombers.
