Prof. Anna Siewierska believes that during the current presidential elections the Polish political culture reached its bottom.
– For me, first of all, it is absolutely unacceptable that politics has established itself with a lie: that present 1 can lie live against all evidence and insist that it is true. And there will be any who will be willing to cut off their hand for it. The concept of fact has lost so much importance in politics that, in fact, even revealing the fact does not change reality. We are specified a polarized society that we can talk more about believers than voters. The fact doesn't matter, it's crucial what we believe," said the polytholist in Short and onTemat.
At the same time, prof. Siewierska, in a conversation with Anna Dryjanska, pointed out that just before the election silence (she will fall at midnight from Friday 16 May to Saturday 17 May) we can anticipate new, emotional reports of the most popular politicians in this race.
– usually there are speculations that cannot be corrected by either organization just due to election silence – says Prof. Anna Siewierska. However, the politician points out that given the housing scandal of the PiS candidate, it is even hard to imagine that daylight could see even stronger information.
Prof. Anna Siewierska on who will enter the second circular of elections
The lecturer at the University of Rzeszów believes that on Sunday we will learn that Rafał Trzaskowski (KO) and Karol Nawrocki (PiS) will pass the second circular of elections. Prof. Siewierska considers it virtually impossible for a duel to take place in the final phase of the election run between Trzaskowski and the 3rd in the Sławomir Mentzen polls. “The Confederation and Mentzen are always overestimated alternatively than underestimated, so I do not consider specified a change,” says Prof. Anna Siewierska.
The biggest confusion will begin – according to a polytolist – after the election on 18 May and before the vote on 1 June. It is during this period that Prof. Siewierska argues, the election staff will turn the heaviest guns against the countercandidate, which will have a major problem with neutralizing it.
– This is going to be a very, very hard time for both election stations. They will gotta respond rapidly and make no mistakes, due to the fact that in the second round, the votes of those voters who had previously voted for another candidates are mostly fought. And now (the question is) how will the opponents of the first circular behave, how clearly or vaguely they will declare their support, how will Simon Holovnia behave, how will Magdalena Biejat behave, how will Sławomir Mentzen behave," says Prof. Anna Siewierska.
